Bergamo,capoluogo di provincia lombardo,a metà strada tra Milano e Brescia,avanposto delle prealbi orobiche,è una splendida cittadina di circa 120mila abitanti.Praticamente la popolazione equivalente a 3 quartieri di Genova.
Da quelle parti hanno capito come fare calcio,e lo hanno capito bene.Vogliamo competere con club che ci passano 50 milioni di fatturato l’anno?..vogliamo diventare competitivi nonostante uno stadio da 20000 posti?…vogliamo programmare vendendo?…Detto fatto.
Approfittando dell’endorsment del competentissimo azionista di maggioranza del CFC Genoa 1893 cricket and football club,il buon Percassi,non certo uno sceicco o un petroliere,ma semplicemente un proprietario di un’azienda di autobus privati,ingaggia Gasperini,detto anche il Re Mida del calcio italiano.Gli dai una merdina,e te la trasforma in un giocatore di calcio.In pratica il contrario di ciò che fanno la metà degli allenatori italioti.
Gasperini arriva a Bergamo,e molti suoi detrattori pensano subito che,rispetto a Genova,sia un passo indietro nella sua carriera.Probabilmente la prima domanda che il tecnico di Grugliasco ha fatto al suo nuovo presidente è stata “Scusi,Signor Percassi..la Licenza Uefa..ce l’abbiamo?”…Percassi,evidentemente imbarazzato penso abbia risposto..”Scusi Mister…ma dove crede di essere?…certo che l’abbiamo…e abbiamo anche un direttore sportivo”
Gasperini,evidentemente trafelato davanti a cotanta opulenza,dev’essersi motivato vieppiù
Giusto il tempo di qualche epurazione,di valutare la consistenza di qualche giovane,e via,verso nuove incredibili avventure..

Detto fatto.Arrivano Palomino,Ilicic,Castagne,De Roon ed una serie di semisconosciuti con la voglia matta di imparare.
Risultato?…in 2 anni plusvalenze per circa 100 milioni,due stagioni consecutive ad altissimo livello,settore giovanile sempre più florido,stadio in via di costruzione,ed entusiasmo a 1000.
E mentre noi esultiamo per un undicesimo posto e per una salvezza che ha del miracoloso,ci rendiamo conto che,per fare un calcio migliore, basterebbe un ex autista di autobus…
